SLABs

Product Description:
SLABs are invisible, below-ground pedestrian counters that evaluate trends over time in natural and urban areas. The SLAB system is a highly accurate pedestrian counter that is designed specifically for hiking trails and urban foot paths. The SLAB is sensitive to micro-variations in pressure and can detect footsteps with great precision. Up to eight SLABs can connect to a single counting system, allowing for great flexibility and adaptability to varying trail or road widths.

Product Benefits

One or more underground SLABs sensitive to micro-variations in pressure are used to detect footsteps. A timer system prevents overcounting if a person steps twice on the SLAB. The SLAB pedestrian counter can consist of one to eight slab sensors, making the product adaptable to various trail or path widths. In the case of wide, heavily-used paths, an array of SLABs make it possible to count several people at the same time while maintaining extremely high accuracy.
