Product Description:
The C21R Active Travel Monitor is a non intrusive sensor that detects and classifies active transportation modes. Combining low power radar technology, Cloud Database with an API and Web Dashboard to give clients both real time and historic view of how many active travel users are using the routes within the sensors field of view. The C21R contains a radar, up to three communications modules for data and wireless activation of external peripherals, advanced processor for multi target classification and physical environment adaptation REAM. Collecting real-time active travel information with a fully GDPR compliant non vision sensor data is transmitted locally via Bluetooth or direct to the cloud.

Specifications

Non Intrusive
A single detector module without the need for in-ground sensors C21R is mounted to a suitable roadside post at a height between 1m – 4m. Installation is quick, easy and cost effective and can be installed within the 15 minute requirements of short duration works, reducing the need for full traffic management and road/path closures.

REAM – Radar Environment Adaptation Module
Integral to the C21R is our REAM system, this allows for optimal field of view to be selected remotely whilst the device is in its fixed installed position. Designed to improve accuracy, convenience and safety for site operatives REAM is used to align the radar with pin point accuracy. Our detection and alignment algorithms process each frame to feedback to REAM ensuring optimal positioning.

Zonal Detection
The C21R splits the street scene into zones enabling precise detection or exclusion of transport
modes within the field of view. This delineation enables detection of zonal violators such as cycles on pedestrian only pathways or shared use infringement.

Power
C21R has been power optimised for both permanent or temporary applications with battery power able to sustain the device for up to 10 days on site. The low power characteristics allow for continued supply via solar panel or switched mains power. All C21 devices are capable of being powered by an external voltage input of between 6 – 18Vdc.
